Colonel Reed Hudgins
Native of Reisterstown Maryland, Reed graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in December of 1990 receiving a commission in the Infantry. He served as a Bradley Platoon Leader in the 1-16th Infantry, 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley Kansas. He was branch detailed to the Quartermaster Corps in 1993 and served in the 701st Main Support Battalion also in the 1st Infantry Division as an Allied Trades Platoon Leader, Petroleum and Water Platoon Leader and Battalion S-3 Operations Officer. He deployed to Bosnia in 1995-1996 with the 16th Corps Support Group from Hanau, Germany as the Support Operations Battle Captain. After the advanced course, in 1997 he was assigned as the Battalion S-3 Operations Officer for the 27th Main Support Battalion, Fort Hood Texas and served as the Alpha Company Commander. After command he was selected for the Training with Industry program at Exxon-Mobil in Northern Virginia. He served his utilization tour at the Petroleum and Water Department, Fort Lee Virginia as an Advance Petroleum and Water instructor and as Deputy Director of the Department. After attendance at ILE and earning a Master's Degree in business management, he returned to Wiesbaden, Germany and served as the 19th Material Management Center Chief for the Bavaria region of Germany. He was assigned as the Executive Officer of the 71st CSB Bamberg, Germany and deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom with the unit 2006-2007. He then served as the 16th Sustainment Brigade Support Operations Officer in Germany. He served as a Joint Forces Trainer for Joint Forces Command in AFRICOM, NORAD/NORTHCOM and SOUTHCOM traveling to Central America and the Horn of Africa. He served as the Battalion Command of the 18th CSSB in Grafenwohr, Germany and was the Logistics Branch Proponency Chief. He is currently the director of the Army's Soldier For Life Credentialing, Certification and Licensing Programs.
