Director of the Android and Chrome Global Business, Google for Work
Renee Niemi joined Google in June, 2014 as Director of the Android and Chrome Global Business Unit, within Enterprise. A self-professed "gadget junkie," Renee has dedicated her career to launching innovative, high-quality products into the hands of consumers. She comes to Google from Plantronics, where she most recently led the product and business initiatives for the company's complete line-up of consumer and business solutions. She is a passionate advocate for diversity, and volunteers her time with young women who are looking to exploring professional careers in technology. She has dedicated much of her professional career to creating products that solve collaboration problems around the increasing mobility and convergence of the user in the new empowered workplace. Prior to Plantronics, Renee held senior roles with companies such as Danger, Inc. (where she led the launch of the T-Mobile Sidekick), Visto Corporation (now Good), Mobilesys, Inc., Xircom and NEC Technologies. She holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University and a certificate from Stanford specializing in General Management for High Technology.
