Doug Whitley is Executive Director of the Supply Chain Innovation Network of Chicago (SINC). SINC is a private sector led non-profit organization advocating for transportation, distribution and logistics issues that affect investment and job growth in the Chicago metropolitan area.
Prior to joining SINC, Doug served 14 years as President & CEO of the Illinois Chamber. Doug was the last President of Ameritech Illinois prior to the merger with SBC. Governor Edgar appointed Doug Director of the Illinois Department of Revenue. Doug was President of the Taxpayers' Federation of Illinois.
Doug Whitley founded the Transportation for Illinois Coalition (TFIC), a statewide advocacy organization dedicated to assuring adequate funding for all modes of transportation infrastructure. Doug co-chaired the group for a dozen years.
Doug Whitley is a life long Illinois resident and has been a registered lobbyist during most of his professional career. Doug is a graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Western Illinois University and is an Eagle Scout. He is an avid reader of history and collects books about Benjamin Franklin.
